About Yuriy Shevchuk

Yuriy Shevchuk is an artist best known for his collaborations with the film Ford v Ferrari and the Shelby American Collection Museum in Boulder, Colorado. In 2019, his artwork appeared in a key scene of the James Mangold-directed film starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale. One of his paintings featured the Ferrari 156 Sharknose #40, symbolically connected to the birth of the Ford GT40, which later won Le Mans four times in a row.

Another major project was a 20 × 75 meter mural created for the Shelby American Collection. This monumental work now forms the backdrop for original GT40 cars that raced at Le Mans between 1966 and 1968.

Born in 1961 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Yuriy studied at Kyiv Art School and the Kyiv Architectural Academy. Since 1993 he has lived and worked in Prague, Czech Republic. His distinctive style spans watercolor, pastel, oil, and acrylic, capturing the rhythm of jazz, the spirit of vintage cars, and the atmosphere of historic cityscapes.

Yuriy is an associate member of the Pastel Society of America (since 2007), with works in private and public collections worldwide. His art reflects a lifelong passion for storytelling through color, light, and movement.
